The Audiation Academy
Welcome to the Audiation Academy! Founded by a State of Florida Certified Teacher, our academy was created to provide all students, including our valued homeschool community, the opportunity to experience the joy and enrichment of music education. Recognizing the social and academic benefits music offers – from building confidence and leadership skills to fostering critical thinking and even opening doors to college scholarships – we are passionate about ensuring music remains a vibrant and accessible art form for all. Just like the treasured memories made in band, we aim to create a supportive community where students can grow musically and personally, while also learning how to give back through the power of music
Leonardo Bacigalupi serves as the Band Director at The Alva School K-8 in Alva, Florida, part of the Lee County School District. With nearly two decades in education since 2006, Mr. Bacigalupi brings a wealth of experience to his role, including five years as an Assistant Principal in Broward County.
Mr. Bacigalupi holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Florida Atlantic University and a Master's in Educational Leadership from Barry University. His incorporation of Gordon's Music Learning Theory techniques has helped him successfully revitalize band teaching at his school.
Beyond his classroom duties, Mr. Bacigalupi contributes to the broader educational community as a mentor and teacher trainer, sharing his innovative teaching methods and leadership experience with colleagues across the district.
