Discover the thrill of instrumental music with our flexible, month-to-month band program, designed for homeschool students and community members ages 8-18. We offer two distinct classes to meet your student's needs, fostering both individual growth and collaborative performance.

We offer two class types:

Foundations Band (Entry Level): This is a great class for new students or those with less than two years of experience. The course teaches fundamental instrumental techniques and the basics of playing in a group. It’s the perfect start for any aspiring musician!
Performance Ensemble (Experienced): This class is geared to build upon existing musicianship. We provide high-quality musical instruction and performance opportunities for students with prior band experience. This class is most beneficial for students who want to increase their knowledge and gain valuable performance experience.

More importantly, we cultivate an environment where students forge lasting friendships and experience the incredible camaraderie that defines a true "band family."

Entry Level Music Class for Home School

Alva/Lehigh Location:

Where: Alva Church of God

Class Schedule:

Day: Every Tuesday at 3:30pm

Length of class: 1.5 hours

Semester length: 15 Weeks

2025 Fall Class Dates: September: 2, 9,16, 23, 30 October: 7, 14, 21, 28 November: 4, 12(which is a Wednesday due to holiday), 18 December: 2, 9, 16

End of Semester Performance: TBA

Supplies Needed: (Nothing is needed for the first class, we will go through all materials)

Instrument with cleaning supplies (will not be needed for first class. we will go over all information about obtaining an instrument on the first class)
Pencil and notebook
Laptop

COST: $320

The Audiation Academy International Performance Ensemble

This class, is for students looking to broaden their musical experience and gain performance experience by playing all styles of music from jazz to classical to german polka!

We rehearse for a month session (based on a theme) and perform. The goal of the group is to give students with previous band experience an opportunity to perform out in public and gain performance experience.

Students will need to a small playing audition, just to see what parts to place them on. After registration, you will receive the information for what needs to be played for our small audition. (Scales, a musical selection)

Instrumentation needed:

Alto, Tenor and Baritone Saxophones

Trumpets

Trombone

Piano

Bass Guitar

Electric Guitar

Drum Set

Percussion

Possible instrumentation can include: Tuba, Clarinet, Flute

Class Schedule:

Day: Every Wednesday at 4:00pm

Length of class: 1.5 hours

Semester length: Monthly (November-May)

Level of Student: At least 2 years of playing experience. Ages 12-18

2025 Fall Class Dates: Starting in November

Supplies Needed:

Instrument
Pencil and notebook
Laptop or Table (we utilize a music software to read music )
